Tomoko Takahashi's sprawling installations are seemingly chaotic structures built from daily debris, but on closer inspection, reveal careful compositions of colour and function. Each piece starts from a self-imposed rule — this time, Takahashi has constructed her towering works using only the ordinary, often useless, household materials she compulsively hoards. Each item is fastidiously arranged in an intricate relationship to the whole, a sense of order rising from the detritus. Some of the pieces featured in this exhibition, set against the gallery's semi-industrial backdrop, are even available to buy.
